Ajati (George Macavei) – the author of the wonderful book "Garland of Advaitic Wisdom" – was born in 1970 in Bucharest, Romania. Since 1997 he lived in the holly, auspicious, and overwhelming presence of Arunachala Mountain in Tiruvannamalai, India.

An earnest devotee of Sri Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi since 1987 and disciple of Sri Swami Shantananda Puri Maharaj since 1999, Ajati is known at present as a fervent exponent of the great teachings of Advaita Vedanta and Sri Ramana Maharshi. Ajati is also founder and President of 'OM ASSOCIATION' (ASOCIATIA OM).

In March, 2005, Ajati has come back to Romania and new meetings with spiritual seekers have started to take place in Bucharest.

'OM ASSOCIATION' (ASOCIATIA OM) has been established successfully by Ajati, Ajata and Tat at the end of July 2005. The aim of 'OM ASSOCIATION' is to promote in Romania the traditional teachings of Advaita Vedanta as well as that of Sri Ramana Maharshi.
