Tao Wisdom
( fragments - page 2 )

The great way is very smooth; but the people love the bypath.

* * *

Because clarity and enlightenment are within your own nature,
they are regained without moving an inch.

* * *

Tao is the pointing finger and, at the same time, the direction.

* * *

Those who prattle on and on understand nothing about Tao.
Don't reveal your sharpness; eliminate all complications;
withhold your brightness; merge with the dusty world.
This is the realm of mysterious identity.

* * *

In antiquity men studied for their own sake,
nowadays men study for the sake of (impressing) others.

* * *

If you think you can speak about the Tao,
it is clear you don't know what you're talking about.

* * *

The wise succeeds without intending to do so.

* * *

Great knowledge sees all in One.
Small knowledge breaks down into the many.

* * *

All the fish needs is to get lost in the water.
All the man needs is to get lost in Tao.

* * *

Minds free, thoughts gone.
Brows clear, faces serene.
